Bicycles, Ukeleles, Spring and Beer

I'm finally going to break down and buy myself a new bicycle. I like the whole idea of a bicycle. A simple machine that, really, is an extension of your body and gets you over disagreeable distances far more quickly than on foot. Plus I'm in desperate need of a cardio workout. I'm fed to the teeth with people asking which trimester I'm in.

I've also quite recently been introduced to the concept of the ukulele. Its always been my unspoken opinion that a uke is a little toy that you write funny little songs with while laying beneath a palm tree, or standing in front of a variety show camera. This simply isn't so. Not only are ukuleles respectable instruments to be taken seriously, but I've discovered that buying a top of the range model will separate you from anywhere between $300 to $4000.

I think Ma Nature and I have called our little fight quits. I've forgiven her for her mistreatment of me, and my path to work, and she in turn has forgiven me for calling her "the vindictive jerk who cried spring." Suffice it to say that I walked out my front door this morning to find a beautiful spring day with a bit of a gentle zephyr that took me under the arms and gently guided me along to my car. Quite bracing.
All I have to say under the beer heading of this blog is that there is nothing quite like a bass ale on a beautiful sunny day.
